About Christa Silvieus

Christa Silvieus represents the Surprenant & Beneski, P.C. team as the Director of Community Relations.

For 18 years, she worked for a global direct sales company based in Plymouth. As Director of Sales Support, she had the pleasure of partnering with and supporting a dynamic sales force of over 60K independent consultants. That’s a long time to be anywhere, so she moved on to be a home staging and interior design retailer. She loved the opportunity to help drive their growth but she missed the partnerships she enjoyed in her previous position.

This, then, brought her to Surprenant & Beneski, P.C. As the Director of Community Relations, she engages with the community and creates partnerships that provide connections to the important services our team has to offer. The way a company interacts with its customers is HUGE. That’s what drew her to Surprenant & Beneski, P.C. She could see that they truly delivered thoughtful, compassionate, and knowledgable service to their clients and genuinely cared about the community. Christa is passionate about making sure that everyone in Southeastern Massachusetts and Cape Cod knows to call on Surprenant & Beneski, P.C. when they need the very best in Estate Planning and Elder Law.

Christa loves to connect with people, so if you would like to, drop her a line at christa@nbelderlaw.com or connect with her on LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/in/christa-silvieus-6339145.

What do you do at the firm? Try to describe in 1 – 2 sentences.

Along with Marketing the firm, I connect our clients and their families to the invaluable resources within our service area. Often, when families come to us, they need additional support. Our firm is connected to a wide variety of medical, financial, and other resources for the aging population. Connecting our community to those resources is important to us.

What is something your client’s have to deal with that you want to fix?

The biggest challenge with the work that an Elder Law Firm does is what people don’t know. Our efforts in community education plays an important role in helping people learn about their options and the potential consequences of their decisions related to estate planning. In my role, I look for opportunities on-line and in-person to ensure our firm is providing this helpful education.

How would you convey to a prospective client how you participate in the firm’s team approach?

I partner with the attorneys and the legal team to ensure there is plenty of organized support for their clients. Whether it is information or contacts for local resources such as Assisted Livings or Skilled Nursing Facilities or diagnosis-specific support organizations or even support groups.

I also work with the legal team to prepare educational support including blog articles, client newsletters, and webinars/seminars for the communities we serve.

What do you like about working at the firm?

I have a corporate background so I truly appreciate the small business setting. Michelle and Dan are thoughtful business owners who have assembled a great team of people. That team is focused on providing clients with a remarkable experience in which they feel confident in the decisions they’ve made for themselves and their families.

Since I represent the firm within the community, it is very important to me that what I share/promote with the public is consistent with what clients actually experience with our firm.

What's your favorite local spot?

I live in Plymouth with my husband and my orange tabby, Georgia. I love the south shore, south coast, and Cape Cod. My favorite days are spent exploring places like Wellfleet and grabbing a treat at Eat Cake 4 Breakfast in Brewster.
