The Bridges of Mashpee: We’re Safely Welcoming New Residents

Enhanced Move-In Process for the Safety of Bridges® Residents & Team Members

We understand that caring for a loved one at home can be challenging on a normal day, and that it may be even more so for family caregivers with strains on their support network due to social distancing practices. One of the greatest benefits of Bridges® is that we take away the stress and hardships of caregiving, allowing families to be families again.

As we welcome new residents to our Bridges® family, we are continuing to implement extensive safety protocols and modifying our admission process for the safety of all members of our community.

WHAT CAN FAMILIES EXPECT?

Families can stay connected to their loved one with in-person visits offered throughout the week, phone and video calls, and frequent Facebook postings. All visitors must follow our prescreening policy and protocols.New residents must be assessed by a nurse prior to move-in. Assessments must be scheduled in advance.New residents must take a COVID-19 test prior to move-in. Following the negative test, the resident must move in within 48 hours of receiving the results.Upon move-in, residents will be placed on quarantine precautions. On day five after the initial COVID-19 test, the resident will be retested. If the test produces negative results, precautions will be lifted. If a resident is on precautions and asymptomatic, they will be allowed indoor/outdoor visits. Residents will be required to wear a mask.
IS NOW THE RIGHT TIME TO MOVE?
Bridges® is one of the safest places to be right now for someone with memory impairment. Residents benefit from daily socialization, stimulating cognitive activities and physical engagement. They are painting, walking in the courtyard, birdwatching, listening to music, engaging with our unique iN2L dementia-friendly technology and enjoying sensory therapies that comfort them.

Equally important is peace of mind for family caregivers. Residents will be cared for in a dementia-supportive environment featuring self-contained households with around-the-clock care, medication management, healthy meals, and a stable, dedicated team who knows them.
Families are strongly encouraged to make a deposit to start the move-in process or to join a wait list. Contact Senior Advisor Allison Russell for more information or to schedule an in-person tour.Send an Email
WHAT BRIDGES® FAMILIES ARE SAYING

My 97-year-old uncle is very happy at Bridges which is a big relief to my cousins who are so pleased with the care he’s getting there. You guys are doing a great job keeping everyone safe, cared for, and entertained during these very difficult times.
Debbie, Family of Bridges® Resident

We love Bridges for the care and love the staff showers on our mother and all the residents. She takes part in all the engaging, daily activities exploring art, culture, nature, cuisine, movement, faith and lots of fun games.

The leadership and staff have performed a Herculean feat keeping all the residents and staff safe during the onslaught of the coronavirus pandemic. My mother feels safe and pampered at Bridges. We thank the entire staff for their excellent care!

After meeting you and your associates, I am so happy I decided on your facility as I can see you really make your residents and their well-being your top priority.
