SRTA Announces “Try Transit” for the Holiday Season

Beginning November 25th through December 31st SRTA’s bus and paratransit services would be free to all thanks to a grant included in the state budget and awarded by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation.

For more than 25 years, hundreds of thousands of people from all walks of life have traveled to the historic Plymouth Waterfront to experience a bounty of authentic Americana through the Plymouth Thanksgiving parade, which is taking place this year on Saturday, Nov 19th from 10am – 1pm!

The celebration of Thanksgiving becomes history-brought-to-life as Pilgrims, Native Americans, Soldiers, Patriots, and Pioneers proudly climb out of the history books and onto the streets of Plymouth.

You won’t want to miss the opportunity to join us now and become a part of the biggest event celebrating our history.

Hunger Heroes is just around the corner and we are so thankful for all of the companies, schools, and organizations who are hosting food drives for us to collect Thanksgiving food items!
Last year, Global Learning Charter Public School collected over 1,100 pounds of food within their school community – earning the honor of the top Hunger Heroes Food Drive during the Thanksgiving season!!
Looking to drop food off? Check out our full list of drives and stop by a location convienient for you! Don’t forget, we are looking food cranberry sauce, gravy, instant mashed potatoes, canned veggies, stuffing, and cornbread mix.
