By early December the days have become shorter and the weather continues to grow colder, the threat of our first “real” snowfall looming. Although a convenient solution in the winter months, respite stays are available throughout the year in most communities. Respite is available to assist families who are going on vacation and need support and supervision for their loved one while they are away. It can also be beneficial for patients who are leaving a hospital or rehabilitation setting but are not quite ready to return to their home. Respite stays are also a great way for prospective residents to experience senior living and see if it is the right choice for them.
