
Cierra is a law school student at UMass Law and she has been an intern with Surprenant & Beneski, P.C. since the summer of 2021. Cierra assists wherever she is needed on any particular day, ranging from support to the legal team to chipping in to help our client services department. Known for her strong project management and organizational skills and ability to work well with others, she is a great asset around the office. She enjoys being part of an effective team and is driven by a desire to help people. Southeastern Massachusetts contains many of her favorite spots for walking, eating out, and just exploring. So far, one of her favorite spots near our main office in New Bedford is Whalers Tavern.
What do you like about working at the firm?
I like that I truly feel like I am a part of a team. I especially like that I am part of a team that includes such intelligent minds that want to help people.
If you had a theme song, what would it be?
OneTwoStep, but only because the introduction screams my name.
What are 2 – 3 things you absolutely love?
I love coffee, cats, and reading books.

What do you want our clients to know about you?
I am a second-year law student at UMass Law. When I graduate from law school, I plan to practice in this area of the law because I want to help bring peace of mind to those who are experiencing grief or the stress of planning ahead. I graduated with Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology at the University of North Dakota. I have two cats, Cedar and Zucchini, and in my free time, I enjoy smothering them in gifts. A few other activities I enjoy doing are reading books, watching movies, and looking at houses on Zillow I will never buy.
